FAQs
How is Powerhouse Billing different from other billing companies?
Most billing companies handle multiple specialties. We work exclusively with physical, occupational, and speech therapy practices. Beyond that, we were built by the owners of GO Physical Therapy, an organization operating 21 clinics across Nebraska. We did not learn therapy billing from a manual. We learned it by running therapy clinics ourselves.
What does it cost to work with Powerhouse Billing?
We charge a percentage of collections rather than a flat monthly fee. That means our success is tied directly to yours. We only do well when you do well. Pricing is based on your practice size and service needs, so we will give you a clear number in our first conversation.
Will I have to change my EMR?
No. We work directly in Prompt EMR, Stride EMR, and Clinicient. If you use a different system, let us know and we will have an honest conversation about whether we can support it.
What types of therapy practices do you work with?
We work with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and pediatric therapy practices. We serve private practice clinics, multi-location groups, and practices affiliated with hospitals and school districts.
How long does it take to get started?
Onboarding timelines vary depending on your current setup, but most practices are up and running within a few weeks. We handle the transition carefully to ensure your cash flow isn't disrupted during the switch.
Will I lose control of my billing when I outsource?
No. You will have full visibility into everything through regular reporting and a dedicated team member who knows your account. You will always know what is being submitted, what is outstanding, and how your revenue cycle is performing.
What if I am not ready to fully outsource my billing?
That is exactly what our consulting services are for. We can come in, review your current revenue cycle, identify the gaps, and give you a clear picture of where to focus. No commitment to full service billing required.
What happens if a claim gets denied?
Denial management is a core part of what we do, not an add on. We identify denied claims, correct the errors, and resubmit them. You will never be left wondering what happened to a claim.
How do I know if Powerhouse Billing is a good fit for my practice?
The best way to find out is a straightforward conversation. We will ask about your practice, your current billing situation, and what is not working. If we are a good fit we will tell you. If we are not we will tell you that too.
